In case you haven’t noticed, 2022 is flying past us like a formula one race car. If you look at your calendar you will see that there are exactly 12 weeks left in the year.  I assume that got your attention! As an Executive coach, I will tell you unequivocally that these next 12 weeks are some of the most important weeks for high performers because how you finish this year will not only determine success for this year, but set you up for success next year.

This is the time to put your plan into action, take whatever steps necessary, remove all your distractions and get down to the business of doing business. Pull out your client list, task list, or any other list you have been sitting on and go through it thoroughly. Decide exactly where you plan to put your energy and focus, and then as one of my clients said last week in a strategy session- Let’s Go!

Once you have set your action plan in motion, this is also a great time to start putting some thought into your 2023 business and personal plans. Remember there are only 12 weeks left in the year, 2 or which will be occupied with holidays. Which means you really only have about 10 weeks. My first coach once told me that “I you wait till January to start thinking about what you want to accomplish next year, then you won’t even get started on the work until April”

If you think this year went fast, try starting in April!

Now is the time, anyone around you that isn’t ready to go full tilt, the nay sayers, the energy vampires, or anyone else not with the program, remove them from your orbit. The goal is to hit January first like a freight train. Many will barley survive this year and enter next year completely stressed and with no energy. Do not allow this to be you. Success and high performance is not an accident, but rather a choice we get to make every day. What do you choose?

Energy, focus, strategy, these are the actions that build the momentum you are looking for.

Do not leave these next few months to chance. Look at your entire calendar, and plan for everything. Who do you need to reach out to. What loose ends are you going to tie up. How many contacts will you make. Again, these are choices that you have 100% control over.

Whatever excuses or negative conversations you may have going on in your mind, now is the time to overcome those objections, get back in control of you own mindset and start the process of moving forward.

High performers understand the importance of these next few months, and trust me when I tell you I have learned the hard way what can happen in January and February if I allow myself to drift off course these next few months.

Let’s all make a commitment to stay focused, energized and committed to finishing the year strong.

Cheers to your continued success

One Quarter Turn at a Time.
