1 clock

Everyday we are given an amazing gift. In fact we receive 86,400 of them on a daily basis. The great news is that no one gets more of this than anybody else. It doesn’t matter how much you earn, what country you live, your family history, ethnicity, none of this matters when it comes to this gift. The bad news is that the unused portion of this gift doesn’t carry over to the next day. Once the day is gone, the balance goes right along with it. Sad but true

I’m sure you have probably figured this out by now. This gift we all receive everyday is a new day and in it there are exactly 86,400 seconds. How we use those seconds is a vastly different story.

The interesting part of all this to me is that people always say they just don’t have enough time to do the things they want to do. Yet literally as those words are being spoken, there are millions of people in the world actually doing the exact things some say they would like to be doing, if only they had more time.

How are others able to do those things? Do they have more time than we do? Have they saved up all that time in a time bank and cashed it in at an opportune moment in order to do those things that we ourselves have no time for? Are they smarter, more talented, or just better people than all of us? Of course the answer is no, and yet still somehow there are those in this world doing the things that we would like to be doing ourselves.

Let me ask you some simple questions:

How and with whom are you spending your time? Is that a good use for it?

Are you doing something everyday that you absolutely love doing?

If you could choose to do something else, what would that be?

What are the circumstances that would need to occur in order for you to do just that?

What are the objections you have created that have caused you to not do this?

How are you planning to overcome those objections and live the life you have always dreamed you could?

86,400 amazing gifts are given to you every single day. No one gets more, or less. Time as they say is the great equalizer and in my humble opinion our most valuable asset. Start using your time to live your life with intention and purpose and not like a pinball randomly bumping around hoping to hit the jackpot.

Time is very slow for those who wait. Very fast for those who are scared. Very long for those who lament. Very short for those who celebrate. But for those who love, time is eternal. –William Shakespeare
